Shakespeare & Company: "Recently called “the future of publishing” by The Wall Street Journal,
Inkshares is a book publisher that uses a crowdfunding model instead of
agents and acquisitions editors to decide what to publish. We’re very
happy to be celebrating two fabulous Inkshares’ publications: Slim and the Beast by Samuél L. Barrantes and Dawn of the Algorithm by Yann Rousselot" http://shakespeareandcompany.com/event/354/an-inkshares-evening-with-samuel-l-barrantes-and-yann-rousselot

In Slim and the Beast, Sergeant Chandler Dykes is obsessed with two misfits: Slim, a former cadet with a brutal neck scar, and his best friend, The Beast, a college basketball star with a proclivity for cooking. When Slim and The Beast take shelter from a hurricane in a country bar, they learn that Sgt. Dykes has been haunting the place, raving about opossums, bathtub whiskey, and his estranged cadet, Slim. As the bartender swaps tales with Slim and The Beast in hopes of understanding Dykes' obsession, the two young men are forced to confront their own troubled pasts.
Dawn of the Algorithm is a picture book of poems about giants, robots, aliens and dinosaurs; disasters, catastrophes and spectacular cataclysms. By analogy, it is also about rupture: the micro-apocalypses that spark when you throw together love, longing, friendship and loss—what some might call The Dark Side of the human experience. https://www.inkshares.com/projects/dawn-of-the-algorithm/
